Southport R.A.M’s latest “Ship Mate”

The start of the Festive Season was celebrated in fine style on Thursday 1st December at Southport RAM, held at Duke Street Masonic Hall.
W.Bro Terry Tasker and the Candidate, Bro James Molloy
Brother James Molloy elevated into the Ancient and Honourable Fraternity, by the Worshipful Commander, Bro Terry Tasker, ably assisted by his Officers. Some of the officers were very last minute stand-ins, due to an accident and some sickness. Indeed, one brother, W.Bro Mike Eccles had been at the Health Awareness Meeting earlier on the Wednesday evening, when he went to the practice found he was being “pressganged” as Guardian. W.Bro Victor Sereno then found himself outside the door of the Lodge as Warder as he was getting ready for the Meeting.

W.Bro Tasker had mentioned at the end of the October Meeting that he would like another Candidate so that he could do another ceremony. Bro Molloy, who was the out going WM of Lathom Mark Lodge had expressed his interest in the Ark Mariner Degree, so the rest as they say, is history. He was proposed by W.Bro Kevin Collins and seconded by W.Bro Colin Sherman, who both took an active part in the ceremony. Special mention should also be given to W.Bro John Dixon who delivered the Working Tools of the degree in exemplary fashion.
The Festive Board living up to its title.
